 KIT'S LLAMAS holds the proper licenses, permits and insurance to operate in the Olympic National Park.KIT'S LLAMAS started packing in the Olympic Mountains in 1984. In 1986, we became the first licensed llama packers in the Olympics. KIT NIEMANN has been hiking in the Olympics since the early 1950's, and has introduced scores of people to safe and conscientious backpacking.(Retired 2007) LAURA NIEMANN VEACH (Kit's daughter) joined Kits's Llamas as a guide in 1988. She is also the owner of Farm and Country Training Center, specializing in obedience and personal protection dogs.  MAY through OCTOBER, Kit's Llamas specializes in overnight trips, extended trips, supply tips, drop camps and special trips.YEAR AROUND, Kit's Llamas offer day hides and special programs. KIT'S LLAMAS provides the handler/guide, llamas, their packs and care. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR Transportation to & from the trail head, proper clothes and personal items, good physical and mental fitness, food and equipment. PARTY SIZE - Trips are based on groups of 6 adults. Maximum party size in the Olympic National Park is, 8 llamas and 12 people including guides. RESERVATIONS need to be made early to assure space and must include a deposit of $100 per person (which includes a $25 non-refundable service charge). Trips under $100 per person requires the full payment. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the trip commences. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the trip will result in a refund (less $25 service charge) only if the canceling person's space can be filled for that trip. Upon receipt of your reservation and deposit we will send you a packet containing suggestions on clothing, equipment, packing instructions, itinerary and other pertinent information for your trip.
