Forks is located in the northwestern region of Washington, about 50 miles form Port Angeles. This region offers lovely terrain and many fascinating points of interest, including an enchanting rain forest, the majesty of the Olympic Mountains resplendent with panoramic views and outdoor recreational activities, awesome Northern Pacific Coastal Shores, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, mighty Bogachiel and Solduc rivers, excellent shopping, dining, and entertainment accommodations, a good educational system, and much more. Forks offers all the advantages of a thriving and self sufficient, yet serene and scenic resort mecca.

    Late November - January
    Hatchery Steelhead - 5 to 10 lbs. average size

    January-April
    Native Steelhead - 8 to 15 lbs. average size
    With fish in excess of 20 lbs. common.

    Spring and Summer (Kings):
    Late March and April thru July
    Average size 15 to 30 lbs.
    May run as large as 50 lbs.

    Summer Steelhead:
    April - October
    Peak months Late August thru October

    5 to 10 lbs. average

    Fall Chinooks and Coho Salmon:

    Late August - November
    Late September thru November
    (Kings and Silvers)

    Coho 5 to 15 lbs. average
    Kings 20 to 45 lbs. average
